1 dead, 8 hurt after man rams car into members of bride’s family at wedding

One person died, and eight others were injured after a man rammed his car into a group at a wedding in Rajasthan’s Dausa district. The accused was part of a wedding procession in Dausa’s Ladpura village and was bursting firecrackers outside the wedding venue when he had an altercation with the bride’s brother.
As the argument escalated, he sat inside his car and drove it into a group of people from the bride’s family.
The argument broke out as several people who were part of the procession were bursting crackers on the bonnets of several cars parked near the wedding venue.
Several videos from the procession, which are being shared on social media, show the man driving the car into a group of people.
After hearing the news, Lalsot MLA Rambilas Meena rushed to the accident spot in Ladpura and transported the injured to the nearby hospital in his car.
While eight injured have been admitted to hospitals and are critical, 17-year-old Golu Meena succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The man has been detained by the police.
